About the program

Your Pilates education shapes the teacher you become.

There’s a difference between learning Pilates and truly understanding it. The right education gives you a deeper knowledge of the method, the body, and the intention behind each exercise. It teaches you to see the person in front of you, make thoughtful, informed decisions, and approach Pilates with confidence and purpose.

At Whole Body Method, we believe that kind of understanding is developed through experience. Our comprehensive education combines a foundation in the original Classical Pilates system, helping you understand the method as a whole, with hands-on practice, close mentorship, observation, assisting, and teaching real clients.

When you’re standing in front of a client after graduation, you won’t be able to rely on a manual to tell you what comes next. You’ll need to understand the system deeply enough to adapt what you know and trust your decisions. Whole Body Method gives you that foundation. That is the difference a Whole Body Method education makes.

Not all Pilates is created equal. With 26 years of experience, we’ve built a program around what it actually takes to become a confident, capable teacher.

Compare Whole Body Method Other Training Models
Depth of Training Whole Body Method 550 comprehensive hours combining workshops, anatomy, observation, self-practice, assisting and real client teaching. Other Training Models Shorter certifications can mean less time observing, practicing and teaching before you're expected to work independently, leaving you with less experience to draw on after graduation.
Classical Foundation Whole Body Method Learn the complete Classical Pilates system, giving you a framework for understanding how the method works as a whole. Other Training Models Training that doesn't teach the complete system can leave gaps in your understanding of how the exercises, apparatus and progressions work together, giving you a narrower foundation to draw from as your teaching develops.
Full Apparatus and Repertoire Whole Body Method Complete repertoire on Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Electric Chair, Pedi-Pole, Spine Corrector, Ladder Barrel, Mat, weights and Magic Circle. Other Training Models Programs that teach only part of the apparatus or repertoire give you fewer exercises, progressions and pieces of equipment to draw from when working with different bodies and needs.
Real Client Teaching Whole Body Method 200 hours teaching real clients before you graduate, building substantial experience applying what you've learned to different bodies and needs. Other Training Models Some programs require minimal real-client teaching or none at all, meaning you may graduate with significantly less experience applying what you've learned to the person standing in front of you.
Clients and Space Provided Whole Body Method Complete your teaching hours inside the WBM studio, with opportunities to teach WBM clients as you build your client experience. Other Training Models You may need to find your own clients and teaching space, sometimes paying to rent a studio, making required hours harder and more expensive to complete.
Working Alongside Your Instructors Whole Body Method Your instructors are working WBM teachers. Observe them with real clients, teach alongside them and have them available for ongoing guidance. Other Training Models Some instructors are brought in only for workshops, meaning access may end when the workshop does. Without experienced teachers nearby as you begin working with clients, you have less opportunity to ask questions, get feedback and learn from what comes up in real sessions.
Small Cohorts and Mentorship Whole Body Method Small cohorts, individualized feedback and ongoing mentorship throughout your training. Other Training Models Larger cohorts or workshop-only formats can mean less individual feedback and support, making it harder to identify what you need to improve as your teaching develops.
Studio Access Whole Body Method 24/7 access to a fully equipped Classical Pilates studio. Other Training Models Limited studio access means fewer opportunities to practice independently, work with the equipment and reinforce what you've learned between workshops.
Earn While You Learn Whole Body Method Earn $2,000 while completing your client-teaching hours. Other Training Models Required teaching hours, when included, are often unpaid, increasing the overall investment in your education.

“I love that instruction is segmented into intensive weekend sessions, and then you're given time to practice on your own and become familiar with the movements. I’ve found it to be a good balance of detailed, comprehensive instruction and personal time to develop and make sure I’m feeling everything the way I want to in my body."
